Did you make it to the end of the zman finish line? Only that its not a sprint race, its more of a endurance contest. In the beginning of the zman, there is the excitement and vigor, the chavrusah tumult and the seat circus. But after a few weeks, the steady rythym of life takes over and wears away the freshness.
In the famous tale, the tortoise says, “Slow & steady wins the race.” A sure sign of a successful person is someone who sticks to his task, faithfully carrying out day after day without fail.
Go today (erev Tisha B’av) into any kollel and see who’s there during morning seder. Those yungerleit are the ones who are on a mission. They view kollel as a responsibility, staying on their task faithfully.
